Tesla trade-in value on their own car brand Tesla? higher value or no?

Not sure what you ended up getting, but CarMax was 5k lower than what Tesla offered. I'm waiting on Carvana now.

When traded in a Hyundai for a Tesla S, Tesla was lower initially but agreed to match CarMax offer. When we traded the S for an X, I think they gave us a fair amount on the S.

People with 3's were getting CarMax quotes and having Tesla match for when Tesla's initial offer wasn't as high. FWIW, KBB values do not reflect the real market.

Tesla gave me a trade in valuation 5K more than Carvana. 39,700 for my 2018 LR RWD. Details in my signature.

Literally just went through this yesterday, got my trade in offer from Tesla for my S and they were lower than CarMax and CarMax was lower than Carvana.

So I am selling to Carvana and going to be without a car for a few days until I take delivery of my new X

2014 MS 85 67k miles

Tesla - 21,400
CarMax - 26,000
Carvana - 30,044

I'm pretty sure Tesla doesn't want to take Trade-Ins.
Trade in value with tesla on my Model X is 5-12k less than the KBB trade in range (good condition). Looking at the used X's tesla has, the closest to my specs with over 10k miles more than mine is $17k more than their trade in offer...

I've been getting a trade in quote every couple months just to see if it's worth moving to a new Y, their trade in value has dropped $9k over the last 18 weeks... Note that my X is a 2016 (HW2 with FSD paid for), it shouldn't be dropping that fast at this point.
