I'll tell you what happened... I cancelled a sell order at $1,200 just seconds before it passed through it today.
Now I'm gonna have to wait until maybe Tues or Wed for ATH.

So let me get this straight: you sold for $1,110 last week but you wouldn't sell for $1,200 this week...

You appear to be the only "Value-based" Day-trader on the internet. :p

Interesting hybrid approach: "look for deep value, then hold for multiple days"

Cheers!

Forward Observing

Costco (COST) is flying off the shelf today, while others fell down a shelf or two mid-day ~ just sayin.
COST is a solid long-term stock. If you want to add a stock to your portfolio that won't give you whiplash, hard to beat COST. Also a dividend stock that issue surprise dividends sometimes.

Ford Dealer tells potential customer they should "Marque-off" if you won't allow us to "Mark-up" the MSRP on a Mach-e:

With dealers like that, who needs frienemies? Too bad Tesla has ended their Referral Program, otherwise that Ford saleman could've earned 1,000 free Supercharger miles... :p

Ford Executive told me to buy a Tesla Model 3 over a Mach-E
We are in the market for a new electric vehicle and I really wanted a Mach-E. However, I could not find any dealerships that would accept a pre-order without adding a mark-up once it was received. Beat we could find was an offer to only add $5k.
I didn’t want to give up yet, so I emailed a number of Ford Executives to see if they could help with a dealer. One ended up calling me back. When I explained the situation, he said there was little they could do to prevent dealerships from adding mark-ups to MSRP.
In the end, he agreed it would be better to buy a pre-ordered Tesla at MSRP than a Mach-E at any mark-up over MSRP.
I am now going to be a Tesla Model 3 owner.

"Umm thanks?" Ford dealers? :p

Cheers!

Important to note that the build back better bill cuts payroll taxes by 50% for the first year and 30% thereafter for all journalists at news organization up to 1500 journalists. So the public in the US is subsidizing the retirement benefits needed for good news and profitable news organizations.

I think that means we have folks helping in Washington.
I have such a negative opinion of the government that I can not tell if you are kidding.

are you?

We have something like this in the UK. Certain accreditations will lower insurance costs, and that's fine. Let the market sort it out.
It was the UK that I had the first credits myself. First, for the Ferrari school that existed then, second for no-claims against a long sequence of ridiculous cars. The benficiary of all of that was my 308GT4 plate DUL8V. V8, yes, Dull, no way at all!

I appreciate that’s your thoughtful thought process. Let’s be clear, though, not everyone thinks like you or wants to.

I guess it mostly comes down to if you believe people should be protected from themselves vs ‘Yeah, you want a match to light that firecracker in your hand that you then are going to toss on that gasoline doused box of dynamite; sure here you go just give me a minute to vacate the county.’
True. I have lived under unfettered capitalism, under theocratic autocracies, under democratic socialists.
In this discussion we are not considering politics, but efficacy of some educational standards. My advocacy is for education, for education tends to foster clearer thought than does ignorance. Of course I hope that better education also might tend to reduce self-destructive behavior; specifically vehicular-implemented death and injury.

Oh, I think you left out my own SP Upgrade. Explains it perfectly. Nothing to see here.

Dealers have been the enemies of their manufacturers for decades, in addition to being the bane of existence for car buyers. It's a shame that it required Tesla to finally break the cycle of greed and suffering that dealerships have inflicted on the auto industry for a century.
