Yeah, I gather Tesla was more new-age dot-com in trying to avoid the overly bureaucratic HR department crap - but sometimes, employees need to be reminded there are rules that can have legal consequences. I've seen places where I and acquaintances work that have to remind people about the implications of privacy violations. Costing your company a million-dollar lawsuit is especially bad for your career when the compnay can afford a million dollars and may have to pay.
