Tesla wheels at Service center

Will tesla service center or mobile service install Tesla wheels that I bought from someone else?

Typically car dealerships, and by extension Tesla Service Centers, do not install parts that they did not source themselves for liability and warranty reasons.

But if it’s a Tesla wheel, with standard size tires, I don’t see how the legalities would be any different than a Service Center swapping your summer/winter tires at the end of the season.

Yes. They have done it for me - but they have to be Tesla wheels

They prob will if the wheels are OEM Tesla wheels. However, you will probably save more money if you go to your local tire dealer instead.

My local Discount tire is a lot closer than the nearest Tesla Service Centerand they will install any wheels and they have TPMS sensors they guarantee for 7 years.

Discount is great. They used to do free flat and rotations even if you didn't buy from them. Don't know if they still do. I've had around 7 sets from them so local store might still hook me up

You're right but when you've wrenched your own cars for more than fifty years rotating tires isn't fun, it's a pia

Agreed. I paid for an oil change in our ICE car for the first time in a very long time. Sometimes it's just easier to throw money at a problem and make it go away.

That I still do on my only remaining ice vehicle - 06 Forester, clips, open cover, open drain valve, filter, 0-40 and all without having raising it at all
