It seems likely we'll soon hear Tesla announce a major software and/or product update. Before they do that, they typically have a period when we here little from Tesla - and the pace of software releases slows down - both of which appear to be happening.
Tesla was reported to be working on a new navigation app - so that could be part of the 9.0 release. We've been promised changes to the media player (fixing the problems introduced in 8.0 a year ago). We've been promised a better browser (for years). And, there may be other changes they've implemented in Model 3 that they may carry back over to the Model S/X and get the software on all 3 cars in sync.
EAP is not yet ready for prime time in the .36 release - and it seems unlikely the next release will get at least to full parity to AP1, and that it will still fall short of the promises for EAP.
