Texas certified safety inspection

"You can observe a lot by just watching"...YB

I just moved to Austin, Texas and need to get my Model 3 inspected to start the process of getting Texas tags. Do I need to have the local Tesla Service Center perform the inspection or can any local garage, mechanic, car service chain do it. I'm concerned about lifting the car properly without damage. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You can get your car inspected anywhere. There's a million places around Austin that do inspections. Just make sure to tell them you only need the safety inspection and not the emissions test too (it should only cost $7.50), or they might get confused. There's no reason they should lift the car, pretty much everyone just drives them into a bay onto some ramps.
