Text message vocalization vs navigation

Interesting interaction. Text message was displayed and being read by the car. Navigation system interrupted it for direction instructions. The text message reading by the car never resumed.

Maybe it's a tad to much programming for them.. It really should have a personal message go through over a nav talk.

Moe generally, the overall management of audio is poor on the car.

-- it doesn't fade other audio volume when speaking nav instructions (all my previous cars, and my phone, do this)
-- It doesn't fade/pause streaming audio sources when speaking nav instructions
-- (as you note) text message reading is not paused/resumed when speaking nav instructions

(imho nav directions should take precedence over others, since they must be delivered in a timely manner .. a text message can wait a few seconds, instructions to take the next on ramp are more immediate)

Yeah, seems like all 3 of these could be "fixed" in a SW update at some point down the road.
