Phh. Snow. Whatever

I know I was definitely unsure of how the traction control was working vs the usually expected regen braking. It wasn't a situation I was excited about practicing in, if you know what I mean. Plus, it was completely dark about ten minutes later and conditions were getting worse quickly.

I'll be sure to get the chains and front plow on before next winter.

I've done some experiments on a quiet side street in very slippery snow conditions, with sport tires. The traction control definitely works in regen mode, not just on acceleration. The car actually handles extremely well in snow.

I don't winter drive my car because (a) it's too scary with the high snowbanks we get, (b) it's a pain in the butt to hand-wash the car in the winter, and (c) I don't particularly want to muck up the car with all kinds of road salt. The Model S will definitely get winter driven though.
