Tint Roundup: OEM vs Spectra Photosync IRD vs 3M Crystalline

I was never able to find a direct comparison between Photosync Spectra IRD and 3M Crystalline so I decided to run the test myself. I'm using a solar power meter that measures irradiance

67 degree partly cloudy day, Southern California

No glass: 1151 W/m2

Model XModel Y
Front windshieldCrystalline 60%: 193 W/m2 clear area, 6 W/m2 top stripPhotosync 70%: 210 W/m2
Front side windowCrystalline 40%: 111 W/m2Photosync 30%: 125 W/m2
Rear SideOEM: 48 W/m2OEM+Photosync 55%: 49 W/m2
Roof GlassOEM: 29 W/m2OEM: 12 W/m2

Closing notes: Although the Model X may have altered the results because it comes with UV/IR glass all around, it still seems like the premium paid for Photosync IRD is a waste of money. For sure their 80% TSER is untrue.

Surprising findings:
-Tesla OEM S/X rear side window glass outperforms Model Y 20% factory tint + photosync IRD 55%
-Model Y roof lets in less solar irradiance than the X roof

Would love to test a Y or X that hasn't been tinted or one with other tints - this is definitely not an apples to apples comparison as the X comes with different glass than the Y
