TM3- help with FSD & California Taxes

Ready to sign the contract and have following questions

a) Is FSD ($6k) Taxable ? Irrespective of whether I buy with the vehicle or add-on after purchase
b) does DMV include this $6k as part of annual VLF and other taxes if I buy the vehicle with FSD($6K)?

If you buy FSD after the fact the DMV will never know about it. It’s no different than buying any other accessory for your car after the purchase.

Interesting question but you don’t really purchase FSD at a physical location. You purchase it off the website so I’m assuming it looks at your billing zip code to determine sales tax.

they did mention for us SR owners we'd have to bring it in to service to become SR+.
