To charge or not to charge?

The manual says especially if for several weeks.
OP asked about a week.
So it is not that important if the car is plugged in or not for a week as long as there is enough charge to handle vampire leak.

New Model 3, left unplugged for 5 days lost 80% of charge

And this person who lost 80% in 5 days would disagree that "only a week its fine not to plug in". That statement should be "only a week its fine not to plug in, as long as you have taken steps to minimize battery usage, such as turning off sentry mode, turning off cabin overheat protection, ensuring that any third party apps connected to your account are configured correctly and not accessing the car unnecessarily via the tesla app".

Drain in the sun with sentry mode on and cabin overheat protection would likely be around 30+ miles a day.

My regular drain is 1-3 miles a day, give or take, with all that stuff off.

Or, one could plug it in and not worry about any of that if they didnt want to.
