Yes, I was interested to see that Tom Mueller didn’t stay retired for long. ;)

That article doesn’t really explain what makes the Rigel engine different from all the other small new engines out there. But I’m obviously not going to question Mueller and his mission; the man is a Rocket God.

Some of the writing in that TechCrunch article made me cringe:
The agreement between Impulse and Relativity is through 2029. If they don’t make the 2024 launch date, they’ll have another opportunity when the stars (literally) next align, in 2026.
No, not “literally”!

Thanks for posting that. Can you give me a quick summary of that article? I can’t access it.
Ashlee Vance talks about and shows off some of the Los Angeles area aerospace industry that is happening. Tom Mueller drives him around in his old Porsche from place to place. They talk about Mueller's history with rockets, Elon, and SpaceX. Toward the end they stop at Mueller's new startup for smaller rocket engines. He even fires one off for Vance at the facility.
