Hey everyone

Im officially part of the Tesla family now!

So with that out of the way I had my checklist in hand when inspecting the car and I had several things come up that surprised me, that I figured I would run by the forum to see if I got stiffed.

They are the following:

a) As I was working through my delivery checklist, I asked the Delivery Specialist if they had any sort of policy for paint and defects after I signed papers and drove the car off the lot, to which he replied that there is a 3 day/100 mile window that I can bring the car back if I miss anything during the inspection at the Tesla store.
I was always under the impression that as soon as you signed papers and drove off the lot, there would be no way to have them obliged to correct any paint or general defects.

b) The Frunk had no carpet mat, and when I asked the Delivery Specialist about it, he said that the Frunks no longer come with the carpet mat. (I thought it was a bit odd, but figured since I ordered the all-weather cargo mat I wouldnt need it anyways)

c)The charging bag came with everything I had researched, except the 4 pronged NEMA adapter (I only got the 3 prong NEMA adapter) to which he also replied that Tesla made a switch and no longer provides the 4 prong adapter as part of the charging bag. (again not a big deal since Im getting the wall connector, but would've been nice to have that adapter as part of my "emergency" travel charging kit)

I'll be calling several other Tesla stores tomorrow to ask and see if the 3 day/100 mile policy as well as the missing accessories were supposed to be included or not.

In the meantime Id be curious to hear your guys' opinions.

Thanks

Frunk carpet map happened couple of months ago.
NEMA Adapter removed couple of months before that.
You used to get phone cables as well with a 3 but they got rid of those a couple of months before the NEMA Adapter.
Homelink on premium interior couple of months before the cables, etc...
Wait a little longer and they will find another part to remove.

Just small ways to save money and I don't find any of them a big deal and you got the correct accessories, or lack there of.

As far as 1 ; I would not rely on it. Spend the time at pickup/delivery to have any defects noted on your account. If something larger it is covered through the warranty regardless but would not trust them to fix a paint defect you find a 2 days after pickup.

Congrats on your new Model 3 Performance !! What color did you get ? Did you pick up your car in Rocklin and did they give you the 3 day/100 mile policy in writing ?
