Took delivery yesterday, DA says this is normal

Hey all,

This looked like a chip to us, DA says it wasn't and refused to make note of it at the time. Definitely rough to the touch and feel like a chip/break. Even though we arrived 30 mins prior to our scheduled delivery we were rushed out of there...had to even knock on the door to get them to come back and check out the defects we found. The Tesla logo is also falling off and we realized today that the passenger rearview mirror trim is coming off.

Is this "chip" normal?

Normal is not the right word.

As long as the glass panel is sealed and it’s not cracked, It’s within spec.

I would not want it replaced unless it failed because the factory install and sealing is a better process than trying to do it in the field.

Loose or missing trim ? That’s a warranty issue, make a online appointment with the service center. They will probably send a mobile ranger out to address at your convenience.

The bums rush is pretty common but worse at some delivery centers.

Which one did you use PA or South Jersey ?
