Traffic light & stop sign recognition

Hi guys,

This is my day 2 with my first Tesla. So far, it feels great.
I have one question though. I did not add FSD, and I know it would not respond to the traffic light and stop sign, but it doesn't even show it saw traffic light or stop sign on the screen. Is this supposed to be this way? Do they not even display the traffic light or stop sign until I add FSD?? I am asking this because I feel like the display of person, cars and traffic cones are kind of finicky. It appears and disappears pretty frequently (especially the cones and people). So I was thinking if my sensors and cameras are defective.
