No more pesky "Sound, science based standards" but we now have "economically and technologically achievable standards"...

Trump's EPA deletes 'science' from Science Office mission statement

The Ministry of Truth will pave the way to a better future without science. It's the real life manifestation of the Orwellian future we have been awaiting! Bring on (more) doublethink! George would be so proud...

Time to stick the collective fork in U.S. here, we are Done. :(

The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them… To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just as long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.

With Pruitt in charge of the EPA, this change is not a surprise. He is a deeply ignorant man who is not in touch with reality. But scientific facts will not change just because some text is changed on the EPA website.

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it."
