I have a March 2019 Model 3. I've always thought the area where the trunk panel meets the rubber gasket looked unfinished. After randomly seeing this video, I went and adjusted the gasket with a wood dowel. There is some discussion in the forums about whether the gasket is meant to be inside or out, but I can definitely say it's meant to be out, overlapping the panel. Not only does it look finished and keep water out, it makes a better "thump" sound, typical if nicer cars, when the trunk is closed. Every model 3 owner should check and make this easy 5 minute adjustment.
