Turning angle disabeling regen?

Hi Together
Just wanted to confirm if this is a normal behaviour of the Roadster:
When turning at a very tight corner (tight hairpin curve) where you go to a max turning point the regen turns off...as soon you go straighter again everythings back to normal.

Is this a normal thing?

many thanks

Thomas

Hi, thanks for your reply and thanks for your confirmation
that this is a intentional behaviour you have to be aware of, when driving downhill (that you do no get surprised in a negative way...going from oversteering to understeering in a split second due to the sudden drop of regenarative breaking.
But I have also experienced this in a parking garage (spiral down)...and I did't have the feeling that there was any slipage (but a very narrow turning circle).

My understanding is that the Roadster detects slippage by observing a speed differential between the 2 rear wheels. It isn't hard to believe that the differential speed during a tight turn could exceed the same threshold as slippage.
I haven't noticed it but certainly can believe it.
