Type 2 charging cable

Can someone tell me with accuracy the actual length of the charging lead supplied in UK with a model 3.
I’m having a charging point installed next week, so want to be sure the location will be ok.

Tesla UK told me last week it is 4m and that a 7m cable is not available.

They actually supply an additional cable that isn't the UMC?

Yes, it's a Type 2 to Type 2 connector cable like this one:

Mennekes Tesla laadkabel Type 2

They supply a 7.5m cable when that's available from Mennekes in the quantities they need (don't count on it especially not at the end of the quarter), and a 4m cable otherwise.

I got supplied with a 4m cable which isnt long enough i can find a way to purchase a new one direct from mennekes. Do you have any suggestions? I dont want to end up with a cheap Chinese one.

Remember that you probably need at least 2m just to let the cable hang

4m just didnt reach for me, had to purchase a 10 charging cable from here. Although it seems to be Chinese, looks decent quality.

Go easy on the "Chinese" issue! It's the same place that most of the world's top brands have their stuff manufactured. (Yes, I know there are plenty of no-name goods that can be below par but if you were to rule out Chinese produced electronics there would be a very limited choice!)
