Not looking for sympathy or an estimate as I’m waiting for a more qualified response from Excellence Auto in Scarborough.

There’s a LOT of construction here in Toronto, so just be really careful when trying to get into parking where the are doing water mains repairs. The asphalt just collapsed as I drove in and the crunch sound, alerted me. Any who, just t left the shop and it’s looking like just south of 500 Canadian (fingers crossed for no hidden damages).

Asphalt collapsing during road works... isn't this something you can file against the city to get compensation? As long as there's no damage to the battery, all is not lost.

Well, I heard back from the city's insurance adjuster. Of course, they will "pass the buck" over to the contractor. We used to have two seasons here in the Big Smoke - Winter & Construction. Now it seems we are down to one - Construction year round.

I did the same thing from Edson to Jasper two years ago. Ran over a shredded tire. Was just the skid plate as well. I will say your car's range is drastically degraded when you're dragging it 100 km/h
