US Resident Making Deposit in Montreal

I live in far northern upstate NY, only about 20 minutes from the border. The Montreal store is by far the closest to me, so I'm considering driving these to make a Model 3 reservation on the 31st before the online reservations open up. I set the store an email asking if making a US reservation from a Canadian store would be an issue, but I haven't heard back yet. Has anyone had any similar experience working with Tesla sales in Canada for US residents? I feel like this has probably come up for Burlington residents if nothing else.

You may have considered this already, but the Burlington folks may be focusing on the "New England" forum area rather than "Mid-Atlantic". For what it's worth, my local Tesla store said the reservations will be made online via a computer in the stores, so I'm not sure your store's location should prevent you from ordering in Montreal even though you live in the US.

You have probably already ordered by now, and if so, Congrats! But when I placed my order, I did it through the Toronto Store and once the order was placed and confirmed, they switched me over to a NY store (Mt. Kisco) so I had a Delivery Specialist in my own state from that location and that is who I worked with until delivery.
