US Roadster in Europe

Hi,

if there's anybody in Europe with a US- Roadster please get into contact with me. I do have a 1.5 here for repair and need some input...

Main questions:

- does the PEM 185 work with a 2.0 ESS (the 1.5 is dead) ?

No, but you can disassemble the ESS and swap just the sheets.

As MLAUTO mentioned, the 1.5 will not work in a 2.0 Roadster. They function differently especially the way that the 1.5 uses winding(s) in the motor during charging.

...wrong said - only the ESS is dead, the PEM is supposed to be ok.

The car was in running order when shipped, it won't surprise anybody here that it arrived with a complete discharged ESS in Germany as the service-connect wasn't pulled. Has been standing like that since then (few years), means dead.

It's a ray of hope sheets are interchangable because Tesla Europe won't take a US-ESS as refund for a refurbished pack

Well, there's a few other borders I have to cross anyway (400V-controller, wiring, bodyparts etc.), I keep you updated.

Is there a difference? I can't see what was changed unless there is some safety feature not required here.
