Used Model Y pricing vs brand new order

Been looking at picking up a MY LR. How is it that used MYs from 2022/2021 are going for $72-74k when a brand new order is $69k even before factoring in the federal or provincial incentives which can bring it down to close to $62k?

Is there something I am missing? Why would anybody of sound mind purchase a used Tesla versus ordering a brand new car?

Probably a couple of factors to consider.

1. Used pricing might be out to lunch
2. The used pricing reflects immediate availability vs having to wait for a new order
3. Used Model Ys in particular may have options you want that are not available with new orders such as white seats or the 7 seat configuration
4. Everything is insane and nothing makes sense anymore.

It can be any of the above or a combination.

Depending on where you live, the provincial rebates may not apply. In BC, the rebate is income based, so many people who can afford a $80 000 car don't qualify for the provincial rebate, thus it's not reflected in the used market prices.

Agree about options, depending on autopilot, paint, rims, etc.... it adds up really quick!
