Valet Mode

I’m also new to Tesla and have a similar question, when leaving your car at a body shop where they instal paint protection film and need access to the Frunk , how do you secure or Valet mode your car ?

You dont, really. If you dont trust the shop with your car, you likely need to choose another shop. For any decent shop, a model 3 is pretty low on the list of cars they work on, so wouldnt be that interesting to them to drive or anything.

I have my Tesla set to require a pin before moving gears, is there a way to require valet to enter a temporary code before they put the vehicle in gear? I also don't like the thought that it doesn't auto lock and anyone with the key card can drive it.

That's why I got myself a FOB. Well that and the Wife (who hates new tech).

when the car is in drive, can I turn on valet mode via my app during the driving state? or I have to wait till the car is stopped

Every valet knows how to use the cards by now.
