I just had front windshield and sides @ 70% and rear sides and full rear glass @ 35%. Xpel Ceramic $850 all in at infinity glass on clark. Another day or so for the film to cure but it looks fabulous. Massive difference in the sun today on the heat transfer.
Wish I had done this months ago prior to 2 road trips to california!

Window Tinting Films | DriveSmartBC
The Motor Vehicle Act Regulations are very specific about any film that reduces the light transmitted by a window. You will note that there is no mention of how light or dark the film is. If it reduces the light transmitted in any way, it may only be applied on certain windows of the vehicle.
Film may be applied to the top three inches of the windshield or to any of the side windows behind the driver's shoulders. The film may also be applied to the rear window if the vehicle is equipped with an outside mirror on both sides. Film must not be applied to the windows of the driver and front passenger doors.

Yep, which is why I went with 70%. Can't tell from the outside, but makes a massive difference inside.

Outside and Inside.

They use razor blade to cut the film into approximate shape when lay the film outside.
The scratch also appears on the inside when they tries to cut the film on the defroster line (I opted for 2 piece on the back windshield). The cut on the inside is not as obvious as the one that is outside though.
I got it done @ Gleamworks. They use blades too, but I can see no scratches at all. Are they easily noticeable?

I've heard that too and it was mentioned by tinting installers also.

I did some research and wanted opticoat. Gleamworks listed at their certified dealers directory for Vancouver. You can check their pricing at Opti-Coat Certified Specialist Vancouver & Richmond | Gleamworks click Medium Car tab for M3. You need to call or visit them for bundle price. I paid $1699 for Pro plus and tinting altogether.

I was originally planning to do the coating & tinting at Gleamworks (as they had better price and closer location). But they're having some issues getting the city inspections (business licensing with new facility). So, I just went with RDI. Both locations Opti-Coat certified locations, and does good job.

Their business license and BBB accreditation displayed on the wall.

Hi TimHall
I am interested in the gleamworks pro plus (Delivery supposed to be June 10th) and tinting bundle- could you explain what does the tinting bundle include- is it a "set" level of tint or is it customizable? Thanks

Just spoke with Igor from gleamworks. His pro plus and tinting bundle price is $1699, but there is10% off deal on top of that for a group of 3 cars. Is anyone interested?

I'm interested in this too. I just made an appointment with RDI for this Friday, but can still change it. Wonder if they would match the price?

Also do you know if the tinting is one piece for the rear windshield?
