Um...nobody actually wants to war with Canada because they don’t go out of their way to piss other countries off and choose instead to support peace efforts. But feel free to give an example of the last time Canada asked for US military to be stationed in Canada to protect Canada from an enemy army. Take your time.
There was that one time when Canada and the US warred against each other...
I will reply only once as we should be sticking to discussion of cars and TSLA. Knowledge in one area doesn't necessarily make one an expert in war & peace. I'm sure we are just bound to agree to disagree.
Pissing off other countries has nothing to do with maintaining military superiority. It doesn't matter what administration is in charge of the US. It doesn't matter if the US doesn't fire a shot at any country over the next 20 years. It doesn't matter that no one can shoot down an F-22 Raptor. You still build the F-22 Raptor's successor and the successor that comes after that.
Lack of usage, doesn't negate an overwhelming military serving as a deterrent.
Bottom line, Canada is a free rider of the US military machine.
Free-rider problem - Wikipedia
In a "fair" world, the US should have plundered Canada for its resources using the vast military it invested in.
Canada in theory has nothing to stop Russia from conquering it the way it conquered Crimea.
The US military machine wouldn't allow it, so instead we put up with abuse and smugness from "SOME" of northern neighbors that think they have it all "figured out".
If Canada doesn't want to invest in a military and pay their fair NATO share, we should make them absorb those who free-ride off of the US healthcare system.
FFS - the lack of basic economics / opportunity costs / free-riding kills me at TMC.
