Waiting Room: Model X 7 Seat ONLY

Hey folks. I've been lurking around here for some time and this is my first post!

I ordered the MXLR 7 seats in July 2021 (FSD, white/white, 20"). Current EDD has been stuck on Jul 20-Sept 20 for a few weeks now.

Is there anything I can try to get things moving?

I leave in the Bay Area and picked my local Tesla center for the delivery. Would changing that to Fremont change anything? Also the SA, ghosted me a few times. Any tips about getting a hold of him?

TIA!

I wouldn't change anything, just sit tight and avoid looking at the EDD if you can. I think the further you are the earlier you will get it. Calling doesn't do anything. My guess is yours is set for next quarter ( but you never know)!

There are lights in the tunnel!
We finally for our Vin
Question for the folks who selected in home delivery- does Tesla drive your X to your home or they tow the X to your home?
Bay Area - CA
Order date 11-1-2020
White on white
22 inch
No FSD
7 Seat

Order date was 6-20 to 7-10 couple days ago.
We checked this morning it got updated to 6-23 to 6-27 with a VIN!
Oh wow you ordered way earlier than I did. I hope you get yours soon! To answer your question, I think it depends on your location. If it’s close enough to their offsite lot or service center I think they will drive the car to you like they did with mine. The tesla employee then takes an uber back to the service center/offsite location.

Congratulations! A Bay area VIN! How exciting! Can I ask if you fir saw the VIN on your app? Would you mind taking a screenshot and sharing (covering the important infos) to show where the VIN would be at? I have the same EDD range and I'm like checking every minute, on the app and on the main account page. haha.

TOTALLY NOT ZEN BEHAVIOR.....
The Vin shows under the order number

Got it. That’s good to know. We are within 30 miles away from Fremont. Hopefully we can go pick it up instead of someone driving our brand new ride!!!

For the folks who ordered their X in late 2020 - Forgot to ask if anyone were able to get a $2000 credit?

We ordered ours in 11/2020 and we rejected the 2020 model. We told the rep that we wanted a newer model instead.

Our original price were 79,990 before options.

On Feb 2021 we received a call from Tesla stating that they would not be able to give us the new model x with old model x pricing. But we can potentially get $2,000 off and priority list if we accept the new model pricing.

We did accept the new pricing and it came out to be 89,990 before options.

We still don’t see any order confirmation about the $2,000 discount and our delivery date is coming up soon.

Calling this number to find out more. 1-888-518-3752

Just called “they said I will see the $2k off final contract when I pay them”

Took delivery on Sunday and so far everything looks good! My sked was 12pm-4pm and it got here 12:20pm ish. A tesla employee drove the car to the house and went back via uber. I’m assuming it’s because we are pretty close to their offsite location. Theres a bit of fit and finish type of issue and very slight panel alignment but guessing this is within tesla spec? Other than that, it’s great and it’s insanely quick. Being a first time EV owner, it takes about 30 or so miles to get used to regen. What does take a bit of time though is getting used to the touchscreen and finding where the controls are and what they’re for most of the time. Some items are buried in 3-4 levels within a tab. Will definitely need to find time to go over the owners manual.

Hello, i am picking up my Model X next week and plan to take a personal check and a check from the bank. Are two separate check okay?

order information -- June 2021, red and black.
I don’t see an issue with that. They did ask via text 2-3 days prior to delivery if I had the check already. Probably bring up that topic then? Or if that’s too close for you, might want to text whomever you’re in contact with at tesla. I did use only one check though but someone from tesla called me a day prior to delivery to answer any questions I might have and he also needed a photo of the front and back of the check to add to their file.
