I am interested in testing a roadster drive train in a Cessna 172.

Anyone know where I could get the parts or a car that has a drive train but otherwise worthless?

You can occasionally find totaled Roadsters on Ebay but most of them have had the drive train disabled. Even if you find one it's extremely unlikely that you could ever get it to work in any application other than the Roadster. The firmware is very tightly integrated with the whole car. Removing the air conditioner would disable the drive train for example. The power electronics module stops delivering power to the motor if the rear wheels spin 0.2mph faster than the front. It would be such a complicated conversion that your Cessna would be a certain death trap.
