Was the 5 double spoke wheel ever finished like this????

I bought this wheel from:

But the finish is totally different than my factory wheel.

First, silver is a bright silver that is more the color of polished aluminum vs the warmer colored silver on my factory wheels.

Secondly the entire front face is clear coated metal with a radial grind.

It's actually very nice and better than the factory finish in my opinion. It looks great. The problem is it doesn't match the other wheels even though the listing says it will match in every way.

So my question is, did Tesla ever use a different silver on these wheels and only partially paint them?

To my knowledge, Tesla's never deviated from their original silver finish for these. It looks like this Amazon vendor has added some of their own custom bling to them.

yes, these were base wheels - any upgrade was an entirely different wheel (cyclone 19 or turbine 21 in various finishes)

I don't think he was talking about different wheel designs, but rather the factory finish on the original standard double-spoke version.

Why do you say that? It looks *identical* the factory wheel but just not a finish I've ever seen.

I have the base 5 spoke split, the finish isn't machined on the spokes
