Weird Number in Tesla App [Solved: VIN shows for unnamed cars]

Recently my iOS app I see the Tesla name has been replaced with a 6 digit number. See the image attached. I am not sure what this number is? Any one here know what this number is? How can I change it to My Tesla ? Any

Same thing with my Tesla app. I just figured out it is the last six digits of my VIN. I don't like that. I wound rather have the words Tesla Y or my car's name there instea. Have said that, I haven’t named my car yet.

I have the same issue. We didn’t name our car but the default was always Model 3 on the app. Now, all of a sudden my app shows the six digit number but my husband’s app still says Model 3. My software is up to date. So not sure if naming the car will fix it as my husband’s app has not been affected. I’ll try though. It’s not a major drama but still annoying.

Since few updates ago, if you didn't assign a *name* to your car, Tesla app will show last 6 digits of your VIN # instead what model you have, like before... So, go ahead and give names to your Tesla's... Roflmao... It's a new feature

That makes sense, I got my car earlier this year in Feb, haven’t named my car and it’s only ever displayed the last six digits

It doesn’t, here’s one car I collected 6 months ago and one that I collected two weeks ago. Neither car has been named and both are on 28.2
