What Prevents Aero Covers From Fitting Over Caps?

I was just curious, they have center caps and lug nut caps to put on the wheels that hide beneath the aero covers. But as I understand it, the aero covers won't fit if you have the caps in place. Is it the center cap that prevents them from fitting? Or the lug nut caps? Both?

I also wonder if any third parties will come out with alternate aero covers.

The Aero covers use the same latch method as the center caps to snap on and secure to the center axle. Measure them and you'll see why they don't fit. Have a cell phone rubber pry tool handy if you want to switch them back and forth on the fly.

Never tried it but I think so.

Think of the Aero Cover as a very large center cap. The center of the Aero cover snaps into the same spot as the center cap.

You can leave the lug nut covers. I haven't measured the impact on range of lug nut covers under aero covers, though ;-).

Yes, I go back and forth with aero on/off and never remove the lug nut covers.

I use this suction cup to remove the center cap, it's a perfect fit on the cap and real easy to remove...
