I was going to do exactly the same Since I have the plaid S and ludicrous X already, but then I found out that the dual motor will not come with locking differential front or rear. Based on that I am leaning towards the beast again. I got my invitation just need to pull the trigger. I wanted the dual since it comes earlier, but without the locking differentials it sucks.

I did the opposite. I don't want it too soon as I fell Tesla has a track record of vehicle rollouts and the early units will have issues that they will fix in subsequent revisions. So the longer I wait, the fewer the issues (presumably). Personally, I would rather get the foundation AWD next year but I pulled the trigger for a beast that I'm hoping I get by Christmas.
