Hi, I have a diffuser that I applied with 3M taper. However, the edges have failed. Can you use tiger seal to fit a diffuser? More importantly, will the seal come off in the future when I come to sell the car without damaging the paint?
Thanks.
Not sure I would trust Tesla paint to win in a battle against tigerseal or sikaflex adhesive
It is incredibly difficult to remove generally - you are looking at cutting it/scraping it off later and residue removal with something like Tar-dis or Autogym Glue and Tar. Ideally you would use acetone as it's PU based glue, but your paintwork is going be at risk with that too.
Best approach to cutting it is strong fishing line as close as you can to the panel, plastic razor blade and a lot of elbow grease.
Could you try heating it up with a hair dryer to soften the glue, and even a little bit of washing up liquid (don't leav washing up liquid on the paint for too long)
