My question still stands - who/what is offering the $5000 rental coverage, since the best I'd been quoted was essentially $1000.

Checked my policy, the Tesla coverage was $100 per year, $8 for towing per year. I have amica. Even if I go in to fix a fender bender, I can rent a Ferrari for that week....

can you get under the car and look at the battery pack? any gouges or anything in it and they have to repair it to like new, which means replace the pack as you can't, so....instant 15-20k more towards a total.
