X vs S depreciation

Well, I just went and test drove a Model 3 Performance today and had my S valued for a trade, just for kicks.

2017 75D Mint with 18k miles
AP2.0 Purchased
FSD Purchased
White Interior

Paid $88k 18 months ago. Offered $53k today. So 40% depreciation in less than 2 years. Ouch!

I'm assuming they don't count AP and FSD purchases toward the trade value? That's just super low.

You can’t use Tesla’s buybacks to figure out depreciation.

Your car would sell in one day at 60K so means you can push higher than that.

Yea, I agree. Thought about taking it Carmax to see what they say.

It's the only number I had right now. KBB says trade-in is $68k in very good condition.

Edit: Looks like a very similar 75D is going for $71k on AutoTrader. So, I'm sitting at about 20% depreciation after 18months and 18000 miles.

20% is sure better than 40%. :D
