youtube app in tesla not allowing voice control [using youtube in browser instead of in car app]

i cannot use my voice in the you tube app in tesla screen, youtube tells me i have to enable voice control in web browser. how to do that? i don't see any settings in the tesla built in web browser

I am pretty sure you dont, you use your hands to control it while you are sitting in park watching youtube. There isnt any reason to have youtube running while driving, so no real need for voice commands using it.

Yes because voice is so much faster. I can use voice on my phone and computer but Tesla screen is not allowing me to. Help please. Thanks

I’m having the same issue in my 2022 model S plaid. You must be in park to use it I just hate typing on the big screen it’s annoying.

That's a message from YouTube, not the car. To my limited knowledge, no user has yet figured out how to set permissions (location, microphone, etc.) in the Tesla web browser. The browser has two modes, default and full screen video. It's also not possible for the user to clear cookies, favorites, history, etc., without doing a factory reset of the car from its UI.

This is annoying, YouTube not allowing the use of the microphone for searching….

This has nothing to do with driving and searching as anyone knows you can’t access YouTube while driving the Tesla. I’m sitting here at a charger trying to search a relatively long phrase I don’t really want to type in.

This I guess could potentially be a bug in the app. As I can’t find a setting to address this in the browser settings.
