A couple more of car #107 ("Racing Green?")

3df2_1.JPG

For Sale on Ebay right now.

Wish I could make it, sounds like fun.

If my car #408 in Prism Green is there, I hope you'll post a photo or two. I'm very curious to see how it turned out. ...
I just felt like having one that's a little different from the others.

That's one more owner-lurker to add to the Roadster owner's list.

Your car should really stand out at the Tesla yard. Did you see a Lotus in person in that color?

congrats!

At 90 degrees, it's a green, darker than Racing Green but not as dark as Signature Green. At about 60 or less, it turns Twilight Blue. It changes a bit with the lighting too.

Ah, flip paint:

I haven't stopped by the store lately, but I spoke with Sam Perry yesterday and he mentioned that such a car was there.

Thanks so much for the pics! It's awesome to be able to see it already.

I originally had a hardtop, but jettisoned it when the price increased. For me, the main reason to buy the top at the same time as the car was to get the paint to match up properly. Then the carbon fiber hardtop came out and I thought that looked a whole lot better anyway. Since it doesn't need to be color matched, I decided if I really want it, I can just buy it later.

This color, as you can see from the picture I posted, was a special Lotus option. They called it an "exclusive" paint color. I don't see it on their website anymore, so I'm not sure if they no longer offer it, or if now you have to ask for it or what.

It did cost me quite a bit extra, but I figured what the heck, how often do you get to buy a car factory painted in a unique color unlike any other?

It took some persistence on my part to follow up several times to get a sample from Tesla. Once I got it, I loved the color and it was just a matter of convincing myself to spend the extra money.

Once again, thanks!

Yes, those are both me. I had trouble with my first account, and after trying for a while I decided it was easier to start a new one.

Looking forward to getting delivery, although I'll have to wait for the truck to make it's way to the Wash. DC area.
