Why is the sway bar so thin? Is Tesla relying on the air suspension to do are the work of dampening the ride?

This latest update comes at a time that the ICE sector and ICE journalist are continually doubting Tesla and the Model S. It good to see the progress.
 
The sway bar is thin because the center of gravity of the car is very low. It is evidently above the axles but not much. The engineer said there would actually be issues if the center of gravity were below the axle but did not specify what the issue would be. I suspect that the main problem would be lack of engineering skill and knowledge. As it is hereported that this low center of gravity gives great control as expected.

In the electronic version of the Model S Alpha picture, I found something wired. Its a white small vehicle, can anyone tell what type of car is in the background?
I'm not sure what you mean - but I presume electronics testing alpha (with it's rear towards us). The car behind the pillar is a Mercedes A Class.
Sorry for the confusion. Just take look at the vehicle behind the pole.
Like dpeilow and TEG said it's the A class that Merc is using for the E-cell.
