I agree here. Having the cash to just buy the car outright is not a problem. That's where the income/expenses component comes in to determine how quickly the "lost" cash can be made up.

I'm in a similar position, 500k, also with a model 3 SR which was like $40k new. I guess a Plaid is possible, not sure if it makes sense over an S or X LR though.

Do you think upgrading from a 2019 Model 3 SR+ to a new Model Y makes sense? I would like more room in general and a quieter, smoother ride. How is the ride quality and general NVH in new production Model Y's?
