The other problem is that they get blistering hot in the sun. I had all my chrome wrapped in vinyl. Looks better and oddly feels cooler (even though it's satin black now).

Just visited the SC this morning to get a headlight changed. On the way out, I noticed I have a new SW update pending. Since I recently upgraded to 8.0, this is unexpected.

Not sure if it's 8.0 or colder weather, but I've noticed a reduction in range recently. I do about 50/50 around town vs highway and was hoping extra regen would be a benefit. But it appears I now have higher consumption around town than before.

This is exactly my experience as well. Also, just not that impressed with the upgraded sound. Except for better bass in a narrow range (strangely non-linear fade from low to mid) it's no better than the stock sound system in my GTI.

I've never had the problem re-occur. I just did a display reset and powered the car off and back on. Then it was fine.

I had KarTunes install my Blackvue. Took about 2 hours. Great job, super friendly.
