Just curious...why would the updates reduce the charging? Is it based on formulas/calcuations in the updates?

You are right. Mine would go to about 252-255 before it went out. I was just thinking that a new battery would be 'new' in the sense that it would charge to 265 or so. I actually heard a story from one owner that said his replacement battery charged to 280!

I didn't buy aftermarket tires. I bought the same exact winter tires that Tesla sells--just from TireRack because the price was less expensive. By the way, I bought them from TireRack AT THE RECOMMENDATION of my Tesla service rep!
