    Supercharger - Reston, VA

I like it! It took me 12 minutes to add 120 miles!

    App Connection down?

They announced 5 hrs ago that it's back online, but it's now offline again. I have an offline logger application that uses the Tesla API and been getting HTTP 502 (bad gateway) errors. Sounds like a recurring server config error on their side.

    DC Metro February Meetup

So everyone can race to Stone Cove and the winner gets to plug in to the charger there. Unfortunately I'll be on vacation this Saturday, won't be able to show up in my M3. Bummer.

Recent Model 3 sightings in DC area?

I saw my first one in the wild this afternoon (apart from my own). A red one going eastbound on Rt 50 just east of Walney. Too far to glimpse the license plate. @FunkyJunk? BTW, Still love mine!!

    Model 3 App and API

I'm willing to help too. My own experience: I'd written a small logging script using teslajson.py for our prior MSs. When we took delivery of our M3, the new car became the zeroth index vehicle (self.vehicle = connection.vehicles[0]) and the S became vehicles[1]. It surprised me that the...

Recent Model 3 sightings in DC area?

@jlewisthe3rd, thanks. Yes, still have the S. So far, the M3. Maybe it's just the novelty and that I'm enjoying the attention. Part of it is that I'm partial to smaller cars. While the M3 isn't that much smaller than the S, the front visibility and the steering/handling make it feel much...

Recent Model 3 sightings in DC area?

I'm now a proud Model 3 owner, the 11th in the state of MD! I only drive it back from the Rockville SC to home and after dark, but I'm impressed so far with how solid the car feels, and it seems to freaking amazing. Have to get used to the dark spot where I'm used to seeing a lighted binnacle...

Recent Model 3 sightings in DC area?

OP here. My wife and I are picking up our M3 tomorrow from Rockville. Super excited! That'll make 2 in Bethesda AFAIK. I think this is the week they start regular deliveries at the local service centers here. There were a few deliveries prior to this week, but I'd bet they were one-offs...

When does rn change to vin

Got a phone call yesterday afternoon from a delivery specialist in Las Vegas to schedule delivery for our local (Rockville MD) service center. We're on their schedule to take delivery Thursday the 25th. So that would be 3 weeks from the initial invite. So my experience is consistent with yours...

So how many non-employee invite periods have there been?

My wife took the initiative and time from work and was in line at the Bethesda MD store the first morning.

When does rn change to vin

That's good to know. I also put my order in 9 days ago and no correspondence since, so I've been wondering about how receiving a VIN relates to delivery date. @kbecks13, was all your correspondence for your M3 delivery by email or did you ever talk to a delivery specialist like we have for...

So how many non-employee invite periods have there been?

A whole bunch of invites went out yesterday, 4 Jan, mostly on the East Coast. Data is from the spreadsheet: We got our Invites as well. Delivery estimated in 4 weeks.

Recent Model 3 sightings in DC area?

So some 3s are getting delivered around DC apparently, production is picking up, and we just got our M3 configuration email yesterday. But I still haven't seen one live yet. Have any of you seen one?

So, when is APv2 going to be noticeably better than APv1? Or is it already?

Oh. I hadn't known that MobilEye owned the AP1 software in addition to the cameras. The way it was told to me at the dealer was they had to collect all new data with the new AP2 hardware, not that they had to start a new codebase. So it no longer surprises me that much that Tesla took this...
