    I don't know OP or what their experience is, but a lot of people have never dealt with an accident or filing an insurance claim before. It can be intimidating and easy enough to just go along with what the other person and their insurance say. The correct thing is to always call your insurance...

    You should contact your insurance if you haven't already. Even if he is at fault and has admitted it, you want your insurance company to work with his to hold them accountable.
