Yah maybe. We took one for a test drive at the Kelowna tesla event a few weeks ago. Kinda prefer the S and Y driving experience but we’ll see. It’s a couple years away.

Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone has installed a trailer hitch and 7 pin trailer plug on a model S. It would have to be able to haul 3500 pounds and deal with 350 pounds hitch weight. We are considering a model S for our next tesla but it needs to be able to tow our little teardrop trailer...

I wonder if Americans will be able to import the highland model 3 from Canada. All model 3’s and Y’s in Canada come from Shanghai so I suspect we will see them here as soon as the existing inventory is gone. Should be interesting.

Yah it’s pretty good on the highway. But in the city it hasn’t moved the needle much in the last two years as far as improvements go. Until it gets cities figured out it’s not really a big deal in my opinion. Jmho.

Yep. So much depends on where you drive as well. We live in a valley that if you go on a 100 kilometre road trip the conditions closely match EPA test conditions. Speed limits, amount of highway compared to city etc. It’s easy for us to achieve EPA range on that trip which we make quite often...

And it works. There is a market for a good looking high performance sedan like the model 3. That may change someday but right now the model 3 does ok in its market. I am curious what the Mexican made model 2 (or whatever they call it) will be. Little hatch? Smalller sedan? Time will tell.

Agreed. FSD will come to fruition some day But these constant exclamations of “next level, mind blowing” etc etc are hurting the brand. Nobody believes them anymore and they are always disappointing. Give honest progress reports and indicate areas of improvement needed.

I think seniors who have or are going to lose their license for medical reasons will find value in FSD. We are a ways away from that but are confident that by the time we get there we will be able to keep our independence and not have to deal with cabs, Uber type services etc. And many people...

Well, I don’t know if it’s dangerous. I follow the rules, both hands on the wheel and ready to take over. If one does that and remembers that you are always the driver I don’t think it’s dangerous. Jmho.

Going from one side to the other without intervention (maybe 7 kilometres) would result in multiple crashes, massive fines and a mob of road rage drivers with pitch forks trying to...

Agreed. A solid 600 kilometre range model Y would probably find a market. We would jump on it. As it stands tesla continues to reduce the range of all it’s EV’s sold in Canada. Weird.

Hmm. The stated range is based on EPA test conditions in North America. Definitely easy to get EPA range if driving similar to those conditions.

Well that’s good news. Are these voltage controllers easily installed as Tesla doesn’t install brake controllers. We installed our own.

I hope they include a built in brake control because as far as I know no one builds a 48 volt unit. It’s already a bit of a problem with the 16 volt LFP batteries as brake control manufacturers like Tekonsha don’t guarantee they will work on 16 volts. It will be interesting to see how this...
