You're experiencing the common MCU problem related to the eMMC (flash memory) wearing out. It seems they've dropped the pricing of replacing MCU1. It used to be over $2k. Since you're out of warranty, there are people here able to replace the eMMC for you.

The IC (instrument cluster) works differently between the two versions. IC1 is part of the network in the car and is essentially it's own computer. IC2 is pretty much a second screen hanging off MCU2. It's a little more complicated than that, but that's the jist of it.

Your car is in limp mode. Best limp over to the nearest service center if it's not too far away. When you open the errors on the center screen by pressing the red warning triangle at the top, what are the error codes?

Nothing is real until permits are filed with the locality. You could always check with the town/county/however NJ does it. Even then, permits aren't always a great indicator, I'm still waiting for Phillipsburg, NJ!

I imagine killing the LTE connection would have a negative impact on warranty coverage. Tesla uses that connection for remote diagnostics if something were to go wrong with your car. Plus you'd lose app access, which takes away a lot of the pros of owning a Tesla in the first place.

If that's how you want to spend your time, then I guess there's nothing wrong with that.

Flooring it on snow and ice is never a good idea. Spinning your tires melts the snow/ice temporarily to create slippery, clean ice patches directly under your tires, just getting you more stuck. Always ease into the throttle when you're in those conditions.

I actually just used this feature for the first time last night. My departure time was set for 5:15AM. It was done charging (85%) about 45 min early. Software 2019.40.2.3. Since it got done so early I'm going to move it ahead 15 min to my real departure time of 5:30.
