Install was completed at 4pm I had to go into work so lead electrician face timed me to go over system Will post pics later. Awesome install day! Completely made up for lack of communication and having to flog tesla at every other pre-install phase

Scheduled install today of 24 panels and 2 powerwalls. I’ve known for a little over a week about install date but didn’t want to post here jinx it until they actually started showing up. I dragged my cooler full of drinks out to garage and started my wait inside.... trying to not act like a 10...

In answer to your first question .... I also have an install scheduled for this Tuesday. However I was just told last Monday that permitting was complete and a Tuesday install 8 days later was available, so I jumped on it. So far I was sent one text confirmation day after I scheduled and one...

I agree from a business stand point it made little sense, but tesla was doing it for quite a while, and may still be doing it in a few instances. Why they did it .. no idea .. it’s tesla ...but If they are going to accept my cc without an added fee I’ll gladly give it to them.

Most loans would not allow you to pay off with a cc and if they did likely large service fees that would more than offset any cc rewards / benefits

Thats the issue it sounds like tesla is moving away from accepting paypal or any type of cc other than pressing someone on the phone to accept a cc

I assume these outlets are standard 15amp or maybe 20amp outlets? Did you have a site inspection by Tesla? I am also getting 2 power walls installed and have an outlet on the wall .. i actually asked tesla rep if i would lose outlet and he said no they will install around it or relocate it...

Agree with @jjrandorin .. sounds awesome to utilize that big rolling battery .. but ppl are oversimplifying what is necessary for this to work esp the regulation portions .. whether it is PV, installed batteries or a big ass rolling 75kWh battery utility is not allowing you to just connect it...

this is gonna be my play to state I planned on cash vs finance based on using cc come payment time (hopefully soon) ... I’ll post the outcome here ... likely we will hear from a lot more people before then so we shall see

I’m hoping you are correct but i do not recall tesla stating anywhere that a cc could be used as payment so I do not think they are obligated to accept it for anybody, I only learned of the cc option from this awesome forum. But again .. I hope you are correct

Payment is normally due a few days after final inspection (but before PTO) from what i have read here

i can give quick answer to this .. tesla seems to throw you in 4 / 8 / 12kW etc based on what you report as your monthly bill .. i just kept increasing my monthly bill on site until i was given size i thought appropriate .. later during the process you can tweak number of panels / placement but...

they are assuming you would throttle back charging i’m sure / tesla connector does this semi-auto to some extent from what i’ve read ( no way off grid on full 48amp / 12kw max unless solar helping out a lot midday and assuming you are just topping off car )

Your actual pic i think still does look cleaner than a lot of non tesla non skirted panels i’ve seen and it is a low angle pic But as i’m sure you know a lot is on the crew .. a poor crew can make the best parts look like garbage
