Made an appointment yesterday to get fixed...just missed the cut off at 109K miles :-(
Mine is permanently displaying only the backup camera now and never goes to sleep. Consumes 4% battery /day
Seem like most people get 100% black screen, anyone else seen backup cam?
Just joined the the dead MCU club. "Center display unavailable" 2014 P85 w/110k miles.
Seem like this would be something mobile service could fix, but wasnt an option.
Tesla replaced two ICE cars: Cayenne Turbo and Scion xD
The Cayenne was a bit of a unicorn w/factory lockers, tree sliders, disconnecting sways.
If I didnt have the Land Rover, I would have wheeled it.
It only matched me with 1 one other P85 with >100K miles. Im winning! ;-)
Our annual mileage and and battery degradation are pretty liner (so far).n
SO, In 10 years we would have 350K miles on the odo, and a usable range of only 100-140 miles.
CF3 looks sweet! My parents got the NEW cheaper version that:
Dometic CC 40 - Electric Cooler
Much lighter! Only Refrige - No freezing options. Maybe less efficient and not as durable, but way cheaper.
Thanks kkillebrew and BPeter - both seem plausible explanations. Weird those are the only two options displayed, but maybe the website designers didn't bother to go back and add all the 2014 and older option codes.
Twice or about once a year, I have seen a nose-in charger pedestal with collision damage. Once was significant enough to take it out of service. I agree the back-in are safer.
Thanks @TheLocNar ! I just had the same issued with 2019.32.1 when changing wheel configuration.
The "Power off" menu option under "safety & security" worked like a charm. Steering wheel button reboot was the 1st thing I tried and did not resolve these 4 errors.
My dip has been holding up well at the 12 month mark. I have sprayed dip into the can cap and used a q-tip to do some touch ups with good success. Dip seems to auto level and erase 'brush strokes'. FYI - I used diecut vinyl for the door handles. I want to redo the rims with paint for a better...
Yeah! This would have been handy on numerous occasions. Specific location here: https://goo.gl/maps/4bcHinEQ6VMGmEqW8https://goo.gl/maps/4bcHinEQ6VMGmEqW8
2014 P85 with 90K miles:
Currently range 246 (5.5% loss since acquired used). Actual 100% range over the last 40k in blue. Red is trend line:
...by the end of 2020, should have something else with more range. :-D
I use both every day on the same ' challenging' route and no determinable differences between the two modes or day-to-day. I do have weird variations of perceived legal speed limit for different unmarked ( aka no signage, default speed limit) sections from day-to-day
Tyson Corner, VA books appointments 2-3 days out.
I put lots of detail in the comments section, but the service advisor didnt see the comments. Not sure if it was a human or system limitation.
WOW - great deal! I would have sped out of there and never looked back before someone else offered more. Sucks they made you wait and started on a bad experience.
The Spoiler is included (no charge) with all "P"s, but you can delete it from the build if desired. Mine doesn't have one...
If you have an older Tesla, then many of the new versions are not eligible for your car. Im still on 2018.50.6 and the SC told me nothing newer is "available" even though 2019.9 is out in the wild. Back in the old days there were fewer car variations to code and test.
My experience is actually the opposite. My two recent repairs (12v battery and door handel) in the drive-way at standard shop rate with parts cheaper than I could find online anywhere! Bought an off lease S and have been impressed with residual value compared my used Land Rover, Porsche, and...
It takes a little getting used to. Most drivers tend to cheat to the outside away from traffic, especially from on coming trucks. After a year, nobody in my car even notices the placement in the lane anymore. Semi-related: I think "truck lust" has either gotten much better, or we a numb to...
I would think X3, Mecan, Evoke, and SQ5 , are the Y's competition (but will pull some Rav, CRV, subi sales too) and I like the Y best:
Cheaper, faster, and more cargo space than this competition too, i think.
Lots of good data points in this thread. Wish there was a way to consolidate the info into a graph of range vs odometer.
P85 w/80k miles
90% range: 224 miles
last 100% charge: 250 miles
Here is my pretty flat range history over the past year and 32,000 miles:
P85 vs 85D pretty close but IMHO the P85 strengths were more important to my family for my local driving conditions:
P85 - MUCH bigger frunk, lighter steering feel
85D - More efficient, stronger regen, better in inclement weather
My fav mods in no particular order:
Norm cubby / Center console silicone organizer
Norm trunk lights
12v outlet in rear
Black out chrome and wheels
I had a loaner car last week and really missed the cubby and trunk lights. I prefer the cubby/organizer combo over the center console.
Suspension and pack bottoms were damaged beyond repair according to the Service Advisor I spoke to. All 4 going to the heap. Apparently the truck went airborn and came down HARD at some point in the flat tire / dodging a dog stories. :-(
REF: Tractor-trailer hauling brand new Teslas crashes on highway in Virginia
The was on Rt 81 near Lexington, Va. Car hauler deliver truck went airborn and destroyed all 4 NEW Teslas. The S on the front came off the hauler truck and smashed into the truck during the off-roading. Unfortunate...
I logged this sole complaint in my Tesla app (Android) review last year. Some of whitehats of us should definitely DM Elon. The black-hats should try Te$la or T@1ulah as his passwords. ;-)
Here is my battery history and degradation forecast. -4% over 25k miles.
Data points are Feb 2018 - Feb 2019. This linear trend-line is worst case (expo and log are much more optimistic).
This is a pretty safe group...I would suggest posting the link to the car you are considering. You will get pretty honest review. I doubt anyone here is going to snipe it from you. This group is looking for unicorns. Also checkout cargurus.com
I have read that the height sensors connect to the upper control arms and these eccentric bushings will alter the ride height. Tesla service is a hike for me...Is there a S/W tool that I can re-calibrate ride height at home? OR, is adjustable links the only other option?
Wouldnt fixing the...
