    Charging

ABRP is much more accurate for me and my relatively aggressive driving style (since I can customize speed, etc). The Tesla nav adjusts along the way, but doesn't give me an accurate picture in advance of the trip. I always plan long trips with ABRP.

CCS1 to Tesla Adapter is being developed by Tesla Korea Club.

I would definitely purchase. Would greatly expand faster charging options. I'm in Canada.

    2020.16.2.1

No Model 3's outside the US are getting it :(

    Fractured software versions

Of interest (to me only, probably). 2020.16.2.1 is rolling out worldwide to all vehicles EXCEPT Model 3 outside of the US. (Based onTeslaFi data). Strange, no?

    Dashcam viewer

The dashcam viewer can be used to view Sentry and Saved videos only. No dashcam videos. If you want to view something later, you can honk the horn (if enabled), or press the dashcam video to save the last 10 minutes. I'm not sure why we aren't able to view the regular dashcam video.

captured a lambo passing by me over speed limit against traffic lane

What do you mean by "against traffic lane"? In BC a single yellow line to your left means "pass with caution". In Ontario, it seems slightly ambiguous.

    2020.8.3 Updating hitting now...

TeslaFi has over 11,000 users, which is a huge sample size for any population and would have a very small margin of error. Consider that national polls will sample < 1,500 people.
  10. BR666T

    2020.8.3 Updating hitting now...

No, 2020.12.1 has been going almost exclusively to US owners.

    2020.8.3 Updating hitting now...

I just got 2020.8.3 last night as well. 2020.12.1 has been sent almost exclusively to US users and appears to have a new stop warning system and new maps. 12.1 does not appear to be limited to HW3 though. (All info based on TeslaFi data).
  13. BR666T

    2020.12.1

This is a new 12.x feature though, correct? US only for now.
  14. BR666T

    Fractured software versions

Almost 100% of 12.x installations are in the US. Seems to have introduced new maps and a stop warning system.
  15. BR666T

    2020.12.1

2020.12.1 is being rolled out in the US only (or almost exclusively). I assume that this version will enable the initial rollout of the stopping features, combined with new maps.

    Fractured software versions

It appears to me that they used to push out a new major release to a small population. If successful, then to everyone, if not then a minor revision. Then everyone gets moved en masse (aside from those who intentionally wait). At this time, the migration path includes: 8.1 -> 8.2 4.1 -> 8.3...

    2020.12.1 Hitting Now

I believe I am seeing the same thing. Can take 30 min or more to get full regen, and it is warmer than a month ago. 2020.8.1 and 2020.8.2.

    Fractured software versions

Can those of you that have been around for a while confirm that the current software distribution of major software versions between vehicles is quite unusual. According to TeslaFi: 15% of 2020.4.x (five different versions) 61% on 2020.8.x (three different versions) 19% on 2020.12.x (two...

Model X Charges past set point

Does it think it's navigating to somewhere far away? I have had my Model 3 charge past the setpoint when it thinks I need a bigger charge to get to my destination.
  22. BR666T

    2020.12

The manual says scheduled charging will finish by 6am regardless of the setting. However, the conditioning will not turn on until about 30 min before the scheduled time.
  23. BR666T

is 2020.12 software update available for Canadian model 3?

    2020.8.1 LR AWD.
  24. BR666T

Cruise Control not available. Almost daily.

These issues, aside from the headlights not turning off, could be caused by poor GPS reception? Which could also explain why the problems go away after a few minutes of sitting still.
  25. BR666T

    2020.8.1

I see that over 1/3 of P3D+ owners now have 2020.8.1 based on TeslaFi. Also, a much smaller percentage (maybe 4%) of LR AWD owners. Are the LR AWD owners Stealth? Or those with Acceleration Booth?

Why I can not see in the monitor the car beyond me?

I think you're missing the OP's point (or I am). It is easy to see any of the cars around you without using the representation on the screen. The representation on the screen is really just a cool thing - not really useful. But for some reason a representation of car(s) behind isn't shown...

Accident for unable to brake efficiently: Tesla's or my fault? [early 2020]

If indeed the ABS kicked in then as the OP believes, then yes, braking power was probably not an issue. Although the ABS may have kicked in at lower speeds if braking is weak. I was very surprised by how weak my brakes were before bedding.
  28. BR666T

Accident for unable to brake efficiently: Tesla's or my fault? [early 2020]

If you're using standard regen, I'm sure you barely use the brakes. The performance of brakes is poor until they are bedded and that comes only through use. The bedding process can be accelerated with multiple hard stops from highway speeds down to maybe 20 km/h.
  29. BR666T

Accident for unable to brake efficiently: Tesla's or my fault? [early 2020]

Had you been using "standard" regenerative braking since new? I had been in my car and I realized on the first hard stop that the brakes had not bedded - they barely worked. After that I left the car In "low" for a while and performed a number of hard stops. Braking is MUCH better now. I...

Well, given the stats that ElectricIAC posted, you may be right.

This seems strangely bad given the temperature and speed. Was there a lot of elevation change?

    Tesla App: "Waking Up"

I have had the "waking up' issue once or twice in the two months I have owned the car. I *think* that I resolved it by force-closing the app (Android) and restarting. In my case, I don't believe connectivity was an issue. It seems to me more like an app/car handshake problem when it is waking.

    Worst case energy efficiency scenario?

LOL. It wasn't 3,000m straight up. That was the total elevation gain. I actually lose a net of 322 metres on this route. So the reverse journey is actually slightly worse since it is a net elevation gain. Here is the elevation profile (the notch is where I lose cellular coverage for several...

    Worst case energy efficiency scenario?

Ouch. That is very cold. That is an even worse case highway drive.
  39. BR666T

    Worst case energy efficiency scenario?

Yup, that would make it worse! I do try to use the seat heater and have lower cabin temperatures (but not to the point of discomfort). Yes, the roads were largely snow-free. Snowy roads would have made me reduce my speed though. Hypothesis: snowy roads at 90 km/h are more efficient than...

    Worst case energy efficiency scenario?

Here are stats from pretty much a worst case scenario in an LR AWD: highway driving, large total elevation gain of 3,000m or 9,800 ft, cruising speed of 130 km/h or 80 mph, temperatures as low as -11 degC or 12 degF. Resulted in 236 Wh/km or 378 Wh/mi. For those that know BC, this was from...

    Efacec tesla chademo adapter fail

Mine has worked with the stations I have used, but that is limited to only a few types. Have you reported the problem to the network operators? They really should be worried if they're not compatible with Tesla CHAdeMO. On the other hand, they may say other owners have not reported problems...

First Time Model 3 Purchase in BC - Some Questions

I did not get 1,500km of free supercharging (just purchased on 1/31/19). Referral codes do not work in BC as the previous poster said. I did buy the LR AWD because I live in Kelowna and regularly travel to Vancouver. If I lived in the GVRD and only occasionally did longer road trips I would...

    2020.4.1 incoming

Looking at TeslaFi, I'm guessing they halted the rollout of 2020.4.1 as well as 2020.4. Here's to 2020.4.2!
