Waze Maps should be coming soon

Definitely a regional issue. I'm here in Washington DC and there are a lot of users on the app. It's nice to know when there is a cop nearby.

As long as the "upgrade" does not involve hardware, there might be a slight up-charge to address the licensing involved.

Install of Radar Detector, Dashcam, and Laser Jammer (LONG)

If I'm reading your post correctly, the clips are metal so it would be very difficult to break the clips. The actual clips attach to the plastic trim via sharp metal prongs. It's not unusual for the metal clips to separate from the plastic trim. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to loosen...

Professional Installation Recommendation BlackVue 650 (Pasadena Area)

I did the install myself and I can say it should not take more than a couple of hours for a pro. Some here have done the self install much faster than an hour by doing the "jump" as opposed to hiding wires in the rubber conduit between the car roof and rear hatch. For me, that took a bulk of...

S driver claims his parked car moved on its own and hit parked trailer

S driver claims his parked car moved on its own and hit parked trailer

If that's the case, he would have clearly seen an alert on the center stack screen notifying him to the summon feature being initiated. This is definitely something Tesla can use as another data point to improve the features. I work in the IT support space and it's common to hear end users...

    My Tesla Delivery Story

Yes, it's not unusual to have multiple MS sighting in one day in Northern California. This past weekend I was visiting my mom in the Bay Area for Mother's day. I had to charge once I arrived so I can get back home later that evening. I visited the Fremont SC and they were all full. Rather...

What do you do with your dashcam? Why did you get one?

Here's a short clip of a vehicle not stopping in a 4 way stop. You can imagine if there was a pedestrian or vehicle in the intersection, something bad may have happened. Good thing I was far enough away that I was safe. From the video, it looks as if the driver totally missed the stop...

Never been to a supercharger before, question...

Sure does...personally, not a fan of sleeping in cars. If you find yourself sleeping in your Tesla a lot, you probably have a drinking problem or you should have spent your $100k on better housing. ;)

Greetings! BlackVue Install...best way to DIY?

I did something similar. I ended up using the BlackVue power cable and cut it open. I maintained the inline fuse that is built in the BlackVue power cable. My intention was to keep it as close to the manufacturer's intended design. Considering how short the distance between the camera 1 is...

The easiest way is to do some solder tinning of the camera wires. Once tinned properly, you can just insert the wires into the mic connector.

You would need to have the camera connected to a WiFi hotspot to get it to upload to the cloud while you're away from home. You are correct, if someone knew where the camera is located and ripped it from the windshield, the thief would now possess your video. You need to check your local laws...

Ok, who was this on HWY 880

Not sure why the Nissan braked...in general, driving 101 tells us to be defensive drivers NOT offensive drivers. The MS action on this video clearly shows an offensive move when the driver changed lanes. One can argue that the Nissan's quick slow down was faster than the MS driver had...

The 4 clips that keep the grill attached are very sturdy. Don't be shy to apply force when pulling the grill down (towards the cabin). A clip or 2 may not come out with the grill so, all you will need to do is attach them. Unlike the plastic trim clips, the clips on the grill are metal and...

Greetings! BlackVue Install...best way to DIY?

The tricky part is if you want to run the 2nd camera wire through the rubber conduit between the roof and hatch which would avoid the "jump across" method. From reading the threads, either option works and it becomes a preference; since you're open to using the "cigarette lighter" power...

    Blackvue DR650GW-2CH Install

You're welcome. Make sure and read the many posts regarding the install of the BlackVue. There are a lot of options out there. I tucked in the wires as much as I could and I chose to run the back camera wire through the rubber conduit between the hatch and the roof...a very clean install...

I attended the event in the Rocklin, CA SC. As was mentioned in prior posts, it was surprising to me that only a minority of us raised our hands when asked, "Who has used summon?" I was standing next to a MS owner who has owned for 2 years and he did not know about this forum. The other big...

    The Law vs Magnaplate

You're exactly right. I have The Law mount and it's obvious that the upper portion of the license plate will hit the nosecone at high speeds. I placed a thick 3M foam dual sided tape. It seems to be doing well.
