Solar PV Production Results (new system)

Take a look at my system, it's similarly sized at 3.96 (don't mind the 4.29 number on my page as my original design called for 13 panels while we could only do 12 at the end), I have Panasonic 330kw panels, FWIW. I'm in Chicago, so my production is nothing compared to your AZ locale, but gives...

Tesla Solar/ IL/ Rebates and quote new thread request

Remember the ComED RRTP mid-day price surge couple days ago? Having my solar panels “producing” electricity back into the grid (via Net Metering) paid off nicely. Net $ amount is small, but the ratio was impressive.

Tesla Solar/ IL/ Rebates and quote new thread request

@Nayyer I went with Panasonic. They gave me LG 335s as an option as well (Panasonic are 330 rated). After deciphering both spec sheets deeper, I stuck with Panasonic for better efficiency, albeit the difference is so minute, I'm sure either would've been fine. LG also seems a bit larger in...

Thanks to @Nayyer. My system also went live today, installed by Windsoleil. Very good experience overall. My dashboard (not much data since it just went live today): SolarEdge

    2019.20.4.1 - Beach Buggy Racing

Casual gamer here, I enjoyed my first few runs immensely. Not everyone needs a console-grade game to have "fun" while at the SC. I can imagine my kids not wanting to sit in the backseat or leave the car knowing this is there.

Have a 2016 X ap 1.0 thinking of getting a LR RWD M3 but have a kid on the way

I'd keep the X. The newborn will soon consume your mind/time/energy/sanity, you'd appreciate the X's extra room and utility much more than gadgetry in the M3. From a Jeep to a M3?

For your lifestyle, tbh, a Tesla Pickup or Rivian might be a better fit, but the pricing (and of course availability) isn't there yet unfortunately. I cringe just looking at dead bugs on my hood on a freeway road trip, can't imagine how I'd feel if I'm on dirt roads or gravel on a regular...

    Tipping installers?

Not to go further off-topic on this whole societal issue of tipping, I'll just confirm that this is correct, all our tips go to waitstaff. The 18% isn't to help the restaurant's bottom line at all (we actually take a hit on these large dining groups on a per diner basis for various reasons)...

    Tipping installers?

Going off topic here from what the OP's asking, apologies. A bit perspective but not an excuse. I'm a partner in a restaurant and we have this policy. We did NOT do this for over 6 months after opening but had to implement it to protect our wait staff. Reason: a very high percentage of this...

    Need Q2 M3 sales data.

Not sure why you are asking, but I think a lot wall street people or anyone who owns a single share of $TSLA would like to know as well . Snarky comment aside, you are not going to find this publically is what I'm trying to say assuming your reason is innocent.

P3D followed by BMW M2 on Nurburging

Not really a vs. thing as both drivers are friends, but lots of fun driving that's for sure, I'm not a track guy, so can't offer up any "driver" perspectives, but the P3D seemed to have held its own with 3 additional passengers (per uploader's comment in the comment area) compared to the M2...

AP just sent me under a truck

I'm sure it was nerve-wracking at the time, did you happen to take a glance of your screen, was the truck displayed next to you on the screen? For context, I just did 1100 miles in two days. 50% on AP, and add another 25% on NOA(?), rest on manual or local drives. What did you look at other than the 3

I'd kept my old car if I didn't "want" a Model 3, so the answer is nothing. Had a Passat, great interior room for ferrying my kids around and by all accounts, very safe. I wish Model 3 had more knee room in the back seat. Didn't want to pay for S or X.

Tesla Solar/ IL/ Rebates and quote new thread request

Update on my journey here. Home assessment guy came today. I found out apparently, in Chicago, Tesla currently is not installing panels on houses like mine, 3 stories high with an attic. Reasons being they "don't have the equipment to put panels up that high". Frankly, he sounded vague and...

When does the "Amount Due" in "Pricing Details" become final?

You can probably ask your OA if a personal check on the day of delivery is acceptable to cover small differences or just buy a cashier's check (grocery store, local B&M banks, etc). My # wasn't finalized until a day before the delivery day but I had last minute changes like AP/FSD/tire size...

Be careful, park with your rear seat down

As Sentry mode gets more and more publicized in non-Tesla communities, I'm getting worried that thieves will become aware and take the USB drives with them once they are in the car. I'd be happy to pay a monthly subscription fee to have a cloud-based Sentry Mode TBH. Thoughts?

Information about UV Blocking for Tinted Windows

My window tints were XPEL Ultimate Plus and my installer specifically showed me 99% reading before handing the car over back to me.
